Abstract:
     A high molecular complex binder made by the inventers, ore concentrate and powdered coal are mixed and made into briquets. The briquets have a compressive strength of more than 20 kg/piece, it may be subjected to falling test 20 times @0.5M. Wear resistance exponent is less than 1%. It will not powder on reduction. The problem on briquetting powdery charge is effectively solved. Metallurgical property of the briquets is good. It raises the utilitation factor of ratary kiln from 0.5-0.7 to 3.0 and saves 50% of the energy consumption. Cost of the binder is low, method for making them is simple, its adhesiveness is good. This process furnishes a metallurgical method to areas where coke is lacking. The process can be used for powdery ores of ferrous metal, nonferrous metals and non-metals.
