Abstract:
     In blast furnace especially those operating under back pressure, rough and fine ash separators and at least one turbine stage are provided at the top of the furnace. Besides these devices, there is the piping for blast furnace gas. The gas is mixed and burnt in one or several cowper stoves wherein cold air is bronght in by means of a cold air blower and hot blast is sent out to the blast hole cannula of the blast furnace. To make full use of energy it is suggested to brance the gas from the blast furnace to be burnt under pressure in the hot blast stoves, at a point behind the fine ash separator and before any turbine i.e., before the decrease in pressure.
