Abstract:
     This invention concerns the method and equipment for production of liquid iron in electric melting furnace or iron melting furnace. It use the high reductive sponge iron to produce liquid iron in the electric melting furnace. The sponge iron is defined as a product from iron-containing mineral by reduction with more than 60% metallization. The method and equipment also relate to the high reductive sponge iron accompanying at least some remaining carbon to be transfered to the melting furnace in thermal state and practically without oxygen, xo that it can prevent from heat loss and re-oxydation. Then the sponge iron coill be put into the melting furnace in controlled state. In this furnace there are one or more electrodes in low resistance mode.
