Abstract:
     The present method and furnace stipulate the following requirements: firstly the melt is led into melting bath, the cross-section of which should be rectangular-shaped. The gas containing oxygen is pumped in to the melt below the level of its surface through the spray gun with nozzle installed on both long side walls of the melting both. Thus two melt areas are established: upper area, where carbon solid fuel is added; lower area consisting of slag layer and iron-carbon intermediate product layer. The products in these two layers are released out separately through bath passages and set on both short side walls of the melting bath.
