Abstract:
This invention involves a method of propagating and breeding the Hepialus egg in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau utilizing geoheat hot spring. The method included establishing greenhouse Hepialus captive market in Hepialus insects suitable habitat near the geoheat hot spring generation place in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau; in winter and spring using the geoheat hot spring water to control the temperature of the greenhouse to stay between 10DEG C -6DEG C and through lowering natural enemies hazards of Hepialus to promote herbs and / or shrubs inside the greenhouse Hepialus captive market to maintain good plant growth and form developed vegetation tender roots system; meanwhile through the releasing of Hepialus eggs, larvae and / or pupae, upgrading quantity and density of captive Hepialus; after Hepialus experiencing a complete life cycle of generation, the Hepialus larvae grows from instar 1 to the instar ranges from 6-8 only needs 345d-390d, and in May of the following year they pupate, and between June ~ August finish eclosion and grow to imagoes, adult Hepialus can be caught massively and their fertilized eggs after mating can be harvested too. The harvested Hepialus egg can be used as worm seed of Hepialus for artificial breeding or worm seed for Hepialus breeding in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
