Abstract:
     The ore concentrate is made into briquets with non coking coal and soluent, but without any kind of reduction treatment. In modern steel furnaces, these briquets are smelted to obtain molten steel of low impurities. Advantages of this process consist in simple equipment, low investment, less energy consumption, and less pollution.
