Abstract:
     This invention concerns a new type of loading chute for charging a blast furnace without the bell structure. The loading chute, being rectangular in cross section, has an additional bias charging port besides the main charging port working simultaneously for distributing two feed streams. With varied orientation of the loading chute and a distribution cycle comprising several chargings, at a constant inclination of the chute and a constant flow rate of distribution, some dozens of distributing regimes can be programmed for adjusting the radial distribution of the feed at the throat of the furnace, providing a reliable means for feed distribution control.
