Abstract:
In this invention pouring refractories for tapping spout has been made from brown corundum as major material properly mixed with silicon-carbide carbonaceous material, clay alumina cement, ultra-micropowder and auxiliary additives. Its composition (wt%) is: brown corundum 60-80, silicon carbide 10-30, clay 1-5, alumina cement 2-5, ultra-micropowder 1-5, auxiliary additives 0.3-1.0. By using bauxite clinker aggregate in place of a part of brown corundum, cost of production can be further reduced. The raw materials are readily a available. Using such refractories is convenient in pouring. Service life of the spout is long.
