Abstract:
     This invention relates to a technology for the production of soft ass leather which comprises strengthening treatment by coating ash before cutting hair and immersing in ash, removing ash by addition of enzyme, and softening treatment by immersion in acid befor retanning, which are used because of the compact structure of the fibre of ass hide and the different qualities of the hides at different positions such as buttocks and other positions. This soft ass leather product has both the appearance of sheep leather and the intrinsic quality of ox leather, but low cost, and is suitable for making gloves, clothes and soft case.
