Abstract:
     The present invention relates to a method for making protecting cover leather for steering wheel. Said protecting cover leather uses the second layer of high-grade oxhide leather as the raw material. Its making process is sientific and rational, and the real leather feeling of the protecting cover leather made by use of said method is strong, its body skeleton is chubby, its elasticity is appropriate, and it is soft and comfortable, its leather surface is smooth, antiflex cracking and antifriction, and it doesn't decolor and doesn't mildew. The physical and chemical features of said invented protecting cover leather are that its elongation is 15-30%, tensile strength is more than 12N/mmsquared, flexural resistance is greater than 1000 times, contraction temp. is greater that 98 deg.C, moisture content is 16-20%, and oil content is 6-10%.
