Abstract:
     The super thin leather splitting method features the chrome tannage agent for treating crust leather with chromic oxide content not less than 3%, re-tanning with resin re-tanning agent in the amount of 12-20 wt% of chrome tannage agent, pH value after re-tanning being 2-4, drying crust leather after re-tanning to water content of 18-25 %, flat setting for 24 hr to balance water in crust leather, and setting the splitting machine, including increasing the hardness of feeding rubber roller to Shaw hardness 45-60 deg, decreasing the helical groove depth in Rasching roller to below 0.4 mm and making the ratio between the upper sharp angle and the lower sharp angle equal to 0.5. The present invention can decrease the thickness of split leather and increase split leather yield.
