Abstract:
     In the field of automatic boiling in a vessel, the consistency of the content of the vessel being controlled according to a certain program, intermittent boiling is an effective method for shortening boiling time and improving the quality of the boiling product. This method consists in that when the consistency reaches a certain given value, a proper amount of water or solution is added into the vessel to lower the consistency. In order to establish the programmed value of consistency, the invention presents a new concept to be introduced into the process, in which two curves defining the upper and lower limits respectively of permissible consistencies. The consistency of the syrup is kept between these two curves, thus ensuring a high quality product made in the shortest time.
