| A process substituted for origional sulfurous acid method for refining sugar features that the composite assistant prepared from chitin or chitosan is used for decolouring the cane juice and bleaching the syrup, and includes such steps as adding said assistant to the juice tank and the boiling tank several times, clarifying, boiling, separating molasses, centrifugating, and sieving. Its advantages are very low content of sulfur, simple operation and high total recovery rate increased by 0.5-1%. | |||
