Abstract:
     This technique includes: DNA in vitro recombination technique, i.e. genetic engineering, and obtain E. coli recombinants carrying in gene for hepatitis B viral core antigen (HBeAg). Production technique for HBcAg derived from human liver or synthesized in E. coli are completely converted into HBeAg by treatment with B-mercaptoethanol. This production which was supplied in the invation had been tested 35 individuals of different anti-HBe status. Results of the parallel tests using E. coli-derived HBeAg and plasma-dereved HBeAg showed a 91.4% agreement for the two antigens. Results of 17 serum samples when E. coil-derived HBeAg was used as the diagnostic reagant to detect anti-HBe was 100% agreement with those obtained by using Abbott-HBe kit (RIA).
