Abstract:
     The calcium alginate can be used as carrier for fixation of yeast and made into membrane of gel of calcium alginate. By placing this membrane on the frame of the T-type biochemical reactor, fermentation can be carried out using raw materials such as fruit juice, malt sugar and hops. The solidified yeast produced by this method is of high activity, good strength of membrane and long service life, less investment, cheap raw material, low cost and continuous production. Besides, the membrane exhibits good permeability to gases during fermentation. The taste of fermented product is also dilicious. The T-type biochemical reactor is made up of the outer cylindrical main body and internal supporting frame of gel membrane. It is convenient in use.
