Abstract:
     According to the requirement of the leather making technology, proteinases, which soften the leather and remove the hairs from it, is chosen as the raw material for making depilatory preparations. Such proteinases should be treated to remove a considerable part of collagenase which will damage leather collagen. Quality of the leather treated by the proteinases after removal of collagenase can be improved and the leather will not be damaged even treated with twice as much as the usually depilation time, the safety of production is enhanced a great deal. Because of the co-ordination and compensation effect of many enzymes, the ability for both dehairing and leather softening is improved.
