Abstract:
     When PH of the medium is reduced to below 7, fusion of liposome containing phosphatidyl ethanolamine and palmitoyl homocysteine or oleic acid or palmitic acid takes place rapidly. The fusion of liposome is determined by means of such determination techniques as shown by transfer of resonance energyon mixing of liposomes, glue filtering and electronic microscopy. Almost all of the calcein contained can be released during the fusion of liposome which contains phosphtidyl ethanolamine and palmitoyl homocystein. When the cholesterol contained in the liposome is 40%, the drop-out can be reduced really, whereas the fusion is not lost, meanwhile the liposome which is sensitive to PH can be made to fuse and bio-active molecules such as DNA etc. can be made to transport into living cells.
