Abstract:
     The present invention concerns a process for culture of bacteria (Bacillus Subtilis Ax-5) which produce ramie geumming enzyme and the use of the said enzyme for ramie degumming. The present invention presents a method for culture of the bacteria from which enzyme produced can be used for remie degumming. The characteristics of the bacteria are: fast reproduction and high yield of enzyme, short production period, strong antipollution capability, high resistance to heat, stable activity of the enzyme produced, and non-toxicity of both bacteria and enzyme. When the enzyme produced from the bacteria is used for ramie degumming, degumming time is short. The rate of fibre dirpersion reachs 100%, rate of degumming reaches 91-93% and quality of refined ramie reachs chemical degummed level.
