Abstract:
     The solution is composed of glucose, sodium citrate, potassium dihydrophosphate, disodium hydrophosphate, and distilled water. Semen is diluted with this solution in a ratio of 1:2 and 1:1. After standing for 7 and 24 hrs. at 5 deg.C it is fertilized, fertilization of eggs is 94.7% and 92.2% respectively. It has no evident difference in comparison with that immediately fertilized with the original semen (95.5%). In case of decreasing the amount of semen and diluting it in the ratio of 1:2 and fertilized at once, fertilization reaches 95.5%, that is the same as that of the original semen. The invention provides a method of fertilization at once with the diluted semen, and is also suitable for the diluted semen that can also stand and transport in a short time. This solution is simple in constitution, easy to prepare, low cost and therefore easy to be wide spread.
