Abstract:
     This invention is concerned with a sort of carrier for fixing microbic cell and enzyme by embedding method. Adopting the safe and non-toxic diene polymer (C5H8)n (n=1000-10000), adding a certain amount of sodium alginate and through an adequate treatment, a sort of globular or membranous carrier of lattice structure, fit for fixing microbic cell and enzyme, can be made. Compared with gel of calcium alginate, its mechanical strength is obviously raised and the service life greatly prolonged when the carrier is used for fixing, multi-plying and culturing yeast cell in fermentation of beer and molasses alcohol. The density of fermented ethanol has come up to the level of traditional technology and the fermentation period has been shortened greatly. Using membranous carrier, carbon dioxide is discharged smoothly.
