Abstract:
     This invention is a refining process in which settlement separation is used as the main purification method for lactic acid produced by fermentation of corn. The fermented liquor of corn is maintained at temperature of 90-100 deg.C. Then quick lime and protein setting agent-magnesium chloride or dihydrated gypsum or ammonium sulfate are added to fermented liquor. Filter dregs produced by double decomposition and decolouration are used as filter aiding agent to carry out filtration. Said process can eliminate effectively the harmful impurities-protein, oils and residual reduced sugar occurred during refining of lactic acid produced by fermentation of corn.
