Abstract: |
|||
| The principle of redox reaction is applied in measuring the concentration of enzymes, bacteria or other related species. These populations can catalytically reduce redox reagent which is then oxidized in an electrolytic bath. In the bath a dense graphite electrode is used, which is partly coated with an unpermeable insulating layer. The electric quanity required for reoxidizing the redox reagent is quantitatively related to the concentration of enzymes or other reactive populations. | |||
