| This invention refers to a method of extracting natural perfumes from evernia prunastri, a certain species of lichen plant, originated in the region of north west yunnan, China. Multistaged soaking and extracting of the plant with ethyl alcohol or benzene is followed by petroleum ether extraction. The product of Chinese oak moss thus extracted is delightful in smelling and light in color with better solubility. It is suitable raw material for perfume and essence industry. | |||
