Abstract:
     This invention is involved with a pure vetiver oil and its preparing method. From the freshly dried roots of vetivert grasses to extract the flavoured petroleum ether by such processes as continuous extractions, distillation, diluted by alcohol and dewaxing, to separate the acidic components etc. Then it is transformed into kind of alcohol compounds. through a serial steps as remixing etc., the pure vetiver oil is obtained. It can keep particularly the rich fragrance of sandalwood of the original plant. Its alcohol content is increased by 10-25% as compared with that of domistic vetiver oil and its acidic value is approximately equal to that made in France. Therefore, it can be used both for high-grade perfumes, for example sandal flavoured soap, and as a fragrance-fixing agent widely used in perfumery industry.
