Abstract:
     This invention relates to a new once through method for continuously separating and extracting turmeric components, in which, ecological turmeric is used as the main material and water as a processing medium. The method has the feature of not requiring large quantity of organic solvent and large equipment, and may replace the old method for extracting colorant by using organic solvent. It has the advantages of low consumption, cost saving, safety, simplicity and convenience, comprehensive utilization of raw material, and multiplicity of products. The method of this invention produces simultaneously the natural nontoxic and uncontaminated products as turmeric toner, pigment, starch and fresh volatile oil, etc. suitable for food, medicine and light industry etc.. Implementation of the present invention will promote coordination of planting and processing in turmeric producing area, so it has notable economic benefit and wide market.
