Abstract:
     This invention relates to a process for production of vulcanized olefine in which sulfur chloride (S2Cl2) is reacted with olefine to form an adduct containing sulfur and chlorine which is conducted to under go vulcanization and dechlorination twice. The feature of said process lies on the reuse of waste caustic liquor which is produced from technological process and is difficulty to treat in the first vulcanization and dechlorination of the next batch process, so that the final effluent exhausted is acidic waste water free of divalent sulfur ion and dissolved sulfur, the chemical oxygen demand of waste water is decreased, the waste water is more easily treated, the discharge amount of waste water is also decreased and raw material is saved. The resulting vulcanized olefine prepared by the process may be used as extreme pressure additive of lubricant.
