Abstract: |
|||
| This invention provides a low-temperature LS type desulfurizing agent based on Fe-Mn-Mg system, designated for effective removal of sulfur compounds contained in the semi-water gas, coke oven gas, and natural gas. Adoption of LS type desulfurizing agent in methanol plants or synthhetic ammonia plants, which use semi-water gas or natural gas as the stasting meterial, can lead to simplification of the existing desulfurizing process and reduction of energy consumption. The active components of the said desulfuring agent are composed of ferromanganese ore, iron ore sludges and zinc oxide (or zinc carbonate) with magnesium oxide as the promotor, followed by addition of water, graphite and a certain binder. The mixture is thoroughly mixed, granulated and press-formed. | |||
