Abstract:
     The present invention relates to a carbon monoxide conversion process. It is characterized by that before the semi-water gas is fed into saturator or the steam is added, firstly the purification treatment is implemented so as to remove iron carbonyl, most of oxygen and part of organic sulfur from it, so that it can attain the goal of reducing hot spot temp. of convertor and preventing the conversion catalyst from deactivating or caking. When the purification treatment is implemented, the active component of said purification agent can be formed from one or several kinds of elements of Mo, Co, Fe, Cr, Ni, W, Pt and K. Said purification agent can use carrier, also can have no need of carrier, and when the carrier is used, the aluminium oxide, titanium dioxide, empholite and waste catalyst can be selected and used as carrier.
