Abstract:
     A process for removing hydrogen sulfide and carbonyl sulfur from CO gas includes removing hydrogen sulfide by adding the CO gas containing said sulfides at 30-40 deg.C and 0.1-0.35 MPa to the bottom of the first alkali washing tower while adding sodium hydroxide (10-15%) from the top of the tower, heating the gas to 40-60 deg.C in the first steam heater, transforming the most of carbonylsulfur to hydrogen sulfide in primary hydrolysis transform tower, adding it to the bottom of the second alkali washing tower, and repeating above-said steps for desulfurizing three times.
