Abstract:
     This invention relates to a generator for producing controlled atmosphere used for heat-treatment. The gasified medium (mixture of air and steam) and material (coal or coke) are transmitted into the generator simultaneously in the same direction. After dry distillation of the material in the generator redox reaction takes place between the material and the gasified medium. As long as the proportion of water to air in the gasified medium and the temperature of each section of the generator are properly controlled, the controlled atmosphere used for heat treatment can be gained. Its structure is simple. Enormous and complex post-treatment devices are not needed. The quality of the gas generated is stable and is easy to be controlled. It cost is low. Various kinds of coals are avariable to the present invention, which is widely used and is easy to spread.
