Abstract:
     This invention uses a specially designed evaporation tower into which phenol-bearing water produced by two-stage coal gasworks is sprayed after it is heated, then it is contacted with air required for gasification in the tower, and is evaporated and mixed. Finally, it is fed into the producer. By virtue of high temp. of combustion layer in the producer, phenol is decomposed, and the same environmental protection effect is achieved as the treatment of phenol-bearing water by process of incinerator. As compared with the process of incinerator, said process possesses advantages of significant saving of energy, simple construction in equipment, no need of pressure vessel, and only common steel being required.
