Abstract:
     This invention involves that the volatile oil fraction obtained from liquification of coal is devided into main stream and side stream. The main stream is fed to refining process and reforming process: the side stream riched in phenol and various alkylphenols is changed with the agent for methylation. In order to avoid expensive procedure of seperating phenols from side stream, it is treated with the dimethyl carbonate as the agent for methylation under the conditions of methylation without calalyst, the produced hyproducts methanol and C02 are removed, and at least a part of such obtained side stream containing benzoic ether and various methyl aromatic ether is mixed with at least a part of main stream obtained from above-mentioned procedure.
