| This invention relates to an improvement of the power supply unit in current use for crude oil dewatering, as it could not electrically dewater high water content crude oils containing more than 50% water. Over valtage often happens, thus causing damage to various parts of the unit and incurring a high power consumption and a poor safety factor. Besides, equipment cost is high due to complicated circuit design of the unit. On the high valtage terminal of the transformer a capacitor and a silicon series string are inserted, forming a multiplier for voltage adjustment and compensation. This device has successfully surmounted the above mentioned shortcomings of the unit in current use. Furthermore the power consumption is only about 1/3 and equipment cost is only about 1/2 of the original. | |||
