Abstract:
     This invention discloses a process for separating insoluble quinoline from coal tar by use of centrifugal settling method. Which comprises technological steps such as mechanical clarification, storage, tilting plate method for pre-settling, heating, temp control, speed regulation and centrifugal separation are conducted to obtain a purified coal tar which is a raw material for production of needle coke. The content of insoluble quionline in the purified coal tar is 0-0.08% and the yield of purified coal tar is up to 80%.
