Abstract:
     The present invention relates to a processing method of petroleum asphalt. It features that after washing with concentrated sulphuric acid and removing the acid dreg in the first settling, the oil is neutralized directly with liquid alkali, and through the second settling to separate out the clear oil with small amount of water. The said method has the merits of less alkali consumption, reuseable acid dregs and less oil loss owing to the no-water washing process. It is suitable for the regeneration of both the atmospheric and vacuum residue for road asphalt prodn, and waste engine oil.
