Abstract:
The foaming pearlite insulation material produced by this method has higher resistance to compression, abrasion, moisture absorption and less conductance to heat. These advantages have overcome the defects of the conventional pearlite heat resistant materials. Expanded pearlite powder is used as raw material and NaOH and sodium carbonate as flux. The product is obtained by calcination of the mixture at a definite constant temp.
