Abstract:
     A pearlite cementing agent belongs to the category of the cohesive agent. The pearlite heat preservation products are made with the expansion pearlite as the aggregate, and supported with the cementing agent. The cementing agents commonly used are cement, water glass (sodium silicate), phosphate and pitch, but pearlite products made using these cementing agents has shortcomings such as low compressive strength and high water absorbing rate. This invention takes the intensive magnesium powder as the primary raw material and the halogen powder solution as the mixer, to which compound additive are added to prepare a new type of the pearlite cementing agent. By using this pearlite cementing agent the compressive strength of the pearlite products can be increased by two or three times and the water absorbing rate decreases by over fifty percent.
