Abstract:
     The pretreatment technological process consists of four unit portions of detanning, dechromisation, reliming and neutralization. In the medium of strong alkaline solution it destroys the combination of Cr and collagen-albumen. Then the Cr is removed by strong acid, then the reliming is conducted in strong alkali solution and the processed gum material is obtained after neutralization by acid. The advantages are simple process, operating at normal room temp., the waste water treated by neutralization, no environmental pollution. Said invention solved the treating problem of the leftoven bits and pieces of tannery, tapped the new resource of the raw material of the gelatin.
