Abstract:
     Leather scrap including those with blue vitriol is first soaked in 4-10% concentration water solution of Ca(OH)2, then soaked successively in mixed HCl and H2SO4 solution, dilute HCl solution and solution neutralized with NaOH, and finally water washed to eliminate harmful component and to make leather fiber swell and reduce to collagen. Through decoction, filtration and concentration, 22% concentration gelatin solution is obtained, which is further made into gelatin strip. The gelatin strip is acetic acid treated, cold wind and IR dried, disinfected and cut into medicinal gelatin product.
