Abstract:
     This invention refers to direct utilization of tung oil to prepare unsaturated polyester paint which is applicable for anticorrosion and insulation purposes, and also as an adhesive. The main constitute, maleinized tung oil ester is obtained by the reaction of tung oil, maleic anhydride and dihydric alcohol (wt. ratio=100:20-40:1-30) at 70-180 deg. C. This product is mixed with active diluent and curing agent in a wt. ratio of 100:5-30:0-10 to form the required paint.
