Abstract:
     The cleaned shahao (sand artemisia) seeds are soaked in basic or acidic organic solvent and then the oxydo-bleaching agent is added for reaction to split its colloid membrane and to perform modified bleaching. Its reaction resultant passes through the processes of stirring, filtering, separating, drying, pulverizing and screening, to obtain the modified shahao (sand artemisia) gum with approximate whole content, pure white, and high purity (close to 100%). The present invention is simple in technological process, its method is reliable and production cost is low.
