Abstract:
     While the slaking of lime proceeds at 60-95 deg.C, hydrazine hydrate or sodium hydrosulfate, 0.05-0.5%, and triethanolamine 0.05-0.5% (on the basis of lime) are added, admixed, and then carbonized. The separated solid product is dried at 120-400 deg.C. This process requcie less chemicals and the product can be dried at higher temperature, so that, efficiency of equipment is improved and production cost decreased. Whiteness of products reaches 88-92%. It is an useful filler for rubbers, plastics, paints, papers, etc., especially suitable for hight color products.
