Abstract:
     The stoving finish takes only three minutes at 120 deg.C to be completely dried and to form a finish of good physical property, in which the oil-length of alkide resin can be decreased to below 30% and a monoacid was used as a chain stopper of the short oil-length alkide resin, which is blended with amino resin to form the amino stoving finish. The weather fastness of the finish will be significantly improved if synthetic fatty acid and trihydroxymethyl propane are substituted for vegetable oil and glycerol respectively.
