Abstract:
    The method of a self-polishing anti-fouling paint is formed by a linear synthetic film-forming polymer. The polymer comprises a biocide for marine organisms and a binder which iscarrying a plurality of free carboxylic acid groups or carboxylic anhydride groups and having an equivalent weight of from 240 to 750. The binder is preferably an additional copolymer of one or more olefinically unsaturated acids or anhydrides.
