Abstract:
     The formulation for producing thermoplastic splints is comprised of vinyl chloride-acetate resin, as a main component, modified MBS resin or modified ABS resin, and plasticizer, compound stabilizer and colouring agent in a certain ratio. In the process for making splints, plasticate temperature, plasticate time, thermocompression steam pressure, thermocompression pressure, cold compression pressure and thermocompression time are controled within a certain region. The splints has an appropriate thermal deformation temperature and reliable strength, and its material source is extensive.It can be used for the outer-fixation for fracture and fracture recovering treatment. and also can be used for the treatment of deformity and contracture patient due to burn, orthopaedic, artificial limb and the like.
