Abstract:
     In 100 pts. of dihydroxybenzene A-type epoxy resin adding 10-40 pts. of prepolymer of propylcyanide hydroxide-tolulyl-di-isocyanate and 5-15 pts. of a mixture of m-diaminobenzene and P,P'-diamino-diphenyl methane in weight ratio of 5:2, solidifying at 80-130 deg.C for 1-4 days. This modified resin is used to cohere metals, its shearing strength and anti-shock strength are comparatively high. Propylcyanide hydroxide is cheaper than conventional propylcyanide carboxylate toughening agent.
