Abstract:
     A rubber, phase completely crosslinked EPDM/isotactic PP blending thermoplastic elastomer is obtd. by dynamic vulcanization of EPDM rubber and isotactic polypropylene, diisopropyl benzene peroxide and dipentamethylene thiuram tetra-sulfide are used as dynamic crosslinking agent. The prod. which has general properties of elastomers may be fabricated by equipments that are used in thermoplastics processing (extrusion, injection, moulding etc.) and can be applied to the prodn. of non-tired rubber parts without vulcanization, leftover pieces can be returned to process. It has the merits of saving energy, saving investment, shortening prodn. period (increasing productivity). This thermoelastomer fulfils the requirements of producing cable coverings, protecting jackets and other rubber articles.
