Abstract:
    A novel waterproof layer is obtained by overlaying a rubber compound having a Mooney plasticity (ML1 4) of 40-70, forming to a sheet, and heat-treating the sheet to effect the secondary agglomeration without vulcanization. The said mixture can be produced by compounding (A) 100 pts.(wt.) of a butyl rubber obtained by the depolymerization of vulcanized butyl rubber in the heat-plasticization step with (B) 3-30pts. of an ethylene-propylene rubber, (C) 30-100pts. of a filler, and (D) a stabilizer and a softener, and kneading the mixture uniformly.
