Abstract:
     The present invention concerns a surgical cement for filling the damaged part and cavities in bones and teeth. It comprises at least (a) a component (A) which is selected from mixtures of self-hardening alpha-tricalcium phosphate powder and self-hardening amorphous tricalcium phosphate of a certain composition, and (b) the component (B) of surgically effective water-soluble polycarboxylicacid and water. The cement can be prepared by mixing components (A), (B), and water or by mixing component (A) and the water solution of (B), and then kneading the resulting mixture.
