    The present invention discloses breeding method of small leaf type high quality and high yield wheat variety. The method includes the first determining the breeding indexes of small leaf type high quality and high yield wheat variety comprising leaf form, protein content, wet gluten content, sedimentation value, water absorption and target yield; the subsequent screening the basic materials for breeding small leaf type high quality and high yield wheat variety; and final hybrid line selecting breeding for several generation to obtain the small leaf type high quality and high yield wheat variety. The present invention can breed small leaf type high quality and high yield wheat variety with reasonable leaf layer structure, high yield, high resistance, good adaptability, high coarse protein content, high wet gluten content and long dough stabilizing time.
